It was quiet, still close to restaurants and wildlife. The view on the mountains were awesome. I reminded us about a place in South Africa where the Whales are comming to and dolphins, Hermanus. We enjoy nature and the beauty of what the Lord has given us. It was our first visit to Kaikoura and we will definetly be back. We tols friends of us about our experience and they will be visiting Kaikoura soon. Thanks for your hospitality, we enjoyed our stay.

The bed was comfy, and the room itself was great. All the staff was very friendly. The location was stunning: the main shopping center and a great bakery were within walking distance.
Facilities were clean good, nonetheless Wi-Fi signal was very weak.

I liked the fact that being a solo woman traveller coming up from dunedin arriving at night that they offered to pick me up and take me to the camp. I also loved the showers and bathroom facities and they even gave me a towel which i had forgotten.
The only thing i found annoying was the walk back into kaikoura so I think it would be fantastic if the hire of bikes was cheaper or even better compilmentary to eliminate the problem of being out of town.

Convenient Location and Beautiful Scenery 🌄
This place is perfectly situated near an amazing bakery and within a short walking distance to the town's main area. Plus, the mountains around here were absolutely stunning, especially in July when they were covered in snow.

Typical New Zealand motel - in appearance a bit 'log-cabin' but in practice very comfortable. Pleasant gardens - with a view of the snow capped mountains when we were there. Reasonably convenient location in terms of Kaikoura itself - a decent walk or a short car journey and in terms of food ther are a couple of reasonable restaurants in reach, and I certainly found the early morning bakery next door a blessing in terms of stocking up for breakfast.
The park was quiet when we were there, but I doubt things would be so peaceful in the summer when I imagine families would proliferate, and side by side accommodation might not offer much privacy. But then I'd advise an Autumn trip to mature couples anyway.

Excellent facilities in the units, with swimming pool in the grounds and a wide stretch of beach within a few minutes. Andy the proprietor is really helpful and full of advice on what to do in the area, but does not invade on your privacy if you wish to just relax.
It is a long way to shops if you wish to cook yourself. Otherwise to get to cafe's and restaurants it is a good walk.

Bbq
Room not clean; no railings on steep pool steps; nothing at bedside to put belongings on; terrible shower rose; impossible to wheel bags over loose stone pathways; too far from town; no shade from westerley sun; bed lights not properly adjustable; nowhere to unpack clothes or hang anything, not even a hook on the wall; cost not good value compared with competition across the road.

The setting was excellent, close to the local bakery, and the main center. The room was well-maintained and new-fashioned with nice touches like a hairdryer, had essentials required. The staff were supper friendly at all times.

It was perfect for a campground/cabin. The cabin was small but just what we needed and the bathroom and shower area was very clean and neat.
Their listing stated that 100% of the booking would be charged on the day of booking so when I arrived I assumed that it was already paid for. Also, I didn't realize that only a bottom sheet is provided. You have to pay extra for a top sheet and blanket.
